Whoops, I went a month without posting. Where did January go? I have been posting frequently on a blog I created for my consumer marketing class, so if you’re interested in that, let me know and I’ll send you a link.R Random thoughts I have at the moment:

I really, really need to get on the ball and create a training plan for the half. I’ve been doing a decent job of going to the gym and using my elliptical at home, so I have a good base built up. Really, I just need to create a schedule for 3 days of running and the rest will fall into place.

The Steelers are in the Super Bowl, have you heard? I am so excited! This is the first Super Bowl in my lifetime that I am actually in Pittsburgh for, so its going to be a fun weekend.

I’m exploring the idea of getting a dog. Its so quiet at my house and living alone is kinda lonely, so I’m hoping to adopt a small dog that can live in a townhouse community without a yard. There’s lots of walks and dog parks in my future I hope! I even brought the dog bowls and leash already. I was going to wait until I was done with school, but that’s two years away and my schedule is not going to be dramatically different then either. My parents live close by and offered to help when I need it. So, fingers crossed!

I have been majorly cutting back on clutter and extra crap this month and it feels so good to get rid of stuff! I’ve also been trying to be more conscious of stuff I buy so I don’t add to the clutter and/or waste money. Minimalism and simplicity is where its at!

Finally, the moment I have been waiting for…the start of football season! It is weird watching the game at home instead of at a Steeler bar, but I’ll take it. I hope to kick some butt in the Muzzy family football pool this year too and win the big bucks.

And hockey season is not that far away either. The Pens visited President Obama at the White House today.

I’m looking forward to watching both upcoming seasons here in Pittsburgh. Speaking of Pittsburgh, I’m going to be meeting up with some blog friends this weekend and I am wicked excited to meet these ladies in real life! Hope everyone has a great weekend!
