Memorial Day Weekend, Boston Style

Thursday
A work client scored awesome tickets for my coworkers and I at Fenway for the Red Sox-Blue Jays game. We sat nine rows behind home plate and it was pretty sweet. Red Sox won and lots of beer was drank.

Friday
Early close at work, but I had to stick around late for a delivery – no fun. I met with my trainer at the gym after work and she put me through some killer circuit training. I think I am going to sign up for the personal training. It is a lil pricey, but I can get a good deal since I am a new member.

Saturday
My friend Jen arrived from Pittsburgh and we picked up our numbers for the Run to Remember and went to the Red Sox-Mets game. Boston lost. : (

Sunday
We woke up to some crazy thunderstorms, but luckily it cleared and was bright and sunny for the 5 mile Run to Remember. I didn’t PR and had to make a bathroom stop at mile 3. I was 7 minutes over my usual 5 mile time, which isn’t too shabby considering I haven’t run much since the fall and made a bathroom break. The rest of the day consisted of shopping and baking for a potluck get-together.

Monday
I got a great deal on a Boston Segway tour with Groupon and we somehow managed to tour Boston on Segways without hurting ourselves or others. Those things are tricky, but we got the hang of it quickly. We had lunch in the North End and did some more shopping. We finished the day with a drink at the Top of the Hub. Jen leaves tomorrow and its back to work, booo.
